Bante 501-BNC General Purpose ORP Electrode (Epoxy Body)
The Bante 501-BNC is a robust and reliable Oxidation-Reduction Potential (ORP) electrode designed for general-purpose water analysis. Featuring a platinum pin sensor and a durable Epoxy (Plastic) body , this electrode is built to withstand the demands of field or lab testing and industrial applications where glass sensors might be prone to breakage.
It is the standard replacement probe for Bante ORP meters and is compatible with other meters that accept a BNC connector for redox measurements. Key Benefits & Features
- Platinum Pin Sensor: Provides a rapid and accurate response for most aqueous solutions, ideal for checking sanitizer levels or general water quality.
- Impact Resistant: The epoxy body ensures durability in the field, protecting the sensor from accidental drops or knocks.
- Universal Compatibility: Fitted with a standard BNC connector , allowing it to pair with a wide range of portable and benchtop meters.
- Low Maintenance: A sealed gel-filled reference (Ag/AgCl) means there is no electrolyte to refill, making it "plug and measure." Ideal Applications
- Swimming Pools & Spas: Monitoring chlorine/bromine efficiency (sanitizer strength).
- Water Treatment: Tracking disinfection processes.
- Aquaculture: Monitoring ozone systems and redox balance.
- Plating Operations: Checking reduction/oxidation baths.
- Education: Demonstrating redox reactions in the classroom.

Expert Tip: Understanding Sensor Types
The 501 uses a Platinum Pin , which is excellent for most general applications (chlorine, water treatment).
- Need to measure weak samples? If you are measuring samples with very low redox potential or low conductivity, consider a "Platinum Band" or "Gold" sensor ( for advice).
- Compatibility: This electrode measures mV (millivolts). Ensure your meter has an "ORP" or "mV" mode - most pH meters offer this, therefore double as ORP meters when paired with an ORP sensor. In the Box:
