They were the latest tech, produced in people’s garages, in studios for the largest bands in the world, and fastidiously collected by music lovers. CDs were the future. They were so easily portable that car stereos with CD players were a must-have, or you’d have to listen to the loud-mouthed morning shock jock. With the rise of digital and the demise of physical media the CD, once revered with their own cases, wallets, towers, and multi-players, is nearly forgotten. And the car CD player with it.

People still love their CD collection. They’ve spent years curating a musical museum to show off to their friends, thrash out to, and cry with in the driveway. And if you are one of those people let it be known that the car CD player is not dead. Yet.
