A: It is a natural sugar that resembles fructose, which is the sugar that is found in fruit. A non-GMO enzyme converts fructose to allulose following the same reaction that occurs in nature. The body doesn't recognise the allulose structure, allowing it to pass through.

A: absorbed by the small intestine and excreted in urine, so only a very small amount even makes it to the lower intestine, so it doesn't get significantly metabolised (converted to energy).
Q: How does compare against sugar for Calories?
A Sugar has 4 calories per gram. 0.4 calories per gram that's 1/10th of cane sugar.
Q: How does compare against sugar for Insulin / Blood Sugar Spikes
A: Sugar has a Glycemic Index (GI) of 100. It spikes blood glucose levels within minutes and can keep elevated for several hours.
