Milk Kefir Grains
Not for human consumption.
Fresh or Dried – Which Should I Choose?
Both fresh and dried milk kefir grains will make probiotic kefir, but each option suits different needs.
Dried are ideal if you’d like flexibility. They are shelf-stable for months without feeding. Once rehydrated, they usually become active within 2–3 days, and kefir can typically be used within that time.
Fresh are actively growing and already feeding in milk. They should be fed as soon as they arrive for best results. They begin producing kefir within 2–3 days, though it may take up to a week for them to consistently produce a thick, creamy kefir as they adjust to their new environment.
Our Grains Are Truly Active
Our grains are continuously cultured in certified organic milk 24/7. They are never refrigerated or placed into dormancy, which means they are vibrant, active, and multiplying all the time.
