At Xmas time our coastlines are awash with the red Pohutukawa blossom, lending the Pohutukawa tree the name NZ Xmas tree. This piece depicts an entire landscape. From bottom-up: the sea, the breaking waves, a stretch of beach, the hills with the blossoming Pohutukawa trees and the sky.
