Inanga Pounamu Teardrop Medium
. Inspired by the Inanga variety of Pounamu, which is usually pearly-white or grey-green in colour and varies from translucent to opaque, resembling the pale colour and transparency of young whitebait.
For M ā ori, pounamu is of great cultural and spiritual value and is considered tapu or sacred. In traditional M ā ori life, pounamu was used for everything from jewellery and adornments signifying the wearer's mana or status, to tools and weapons.
An original piece of glass art. Excellently suited as a collectors item or interior design accent. Handblown by award-winning glass artist Lynden Over in his Lava Glass Studio in Taupo, New Zealand. Each piece is signed and dated by the artist.
