Tūī Chase The Day

The hillside is ablaze with vibrant patches of reds
in amongst the olive turpentine trees and multitude
of greens in the bush. A sudden flurry of wing beats
as tūī chase the day out across the turquoise water,
their sound breaking the quiet of a little visited bay.
