MANO AMIGA HOOPS - SILVER
Be it a constant little reminder to help a pal out, or a cute little ode to our style & inspiration muse Frida Kahlo. The Mano Amiga, or ‘helping hand’ earrings take inspiration from the hand icon that featured throughout many of Frida’s artworks. The use of these icons in her work is said to reference Mexican ‘Milagros’ which are gifts made of Metal, Wax or Ivory and offered in Thanksgiving to the Saints for their help in times of crisis – Much like our Patron Saint pendants!
The hand symbol in the case of Frida, was an ode to her infected hand through her fight with Polio. We love the idea of wearing a symbol to protect and give thanks along our journey and love that Magdalena Frida Kahlo was on the same buzz! DETAILS
