7 Generation Ancestry Chart

Want to see more of your family tree at a glance?

This gives you space to map your family back through six generations of parents, grandparents and great-grandparents.

Use it to bring your research together, share your family tree with relatives, or quickly spot the gaps where there is still more to discover. Fill it in your way

The chart is a fillable PDF , so you can type your information directly into the chart before printing. Or print a blank copy and fill it in by hand.

You can also use colour to highlight different branches of your family or show where your families came from. Two versions included

Space becomes limited as you reach the earlier generations, so your download includes two versions:

Version 1
Includes fields for names and birth, marriage and death dates through to your 3x great-grandparents. Text at this level will be smaller to fit the available space.

Version 2
Provides a single line for your 3x and 4x great-grandparents, giving you room for a name and, where space allows, a year. Printing your chart

The chart is designed for A3 paper. If you have a large family tree, you could also create separate charts beginning with each of your parents to give yourself more room.
