Mandala Moon Choker
Our stunning showcases the patterns of a Mandala beautifully designed within a crescent moon. Made of Sterling Silver, this lovely petite choker hang beautifully at the throat.
The crescent shape is used to represent the lunar phase in the first quarter phase (the "sickle moon"). Because the waxing crescent moon is nearly in line with the Earth and sun, we only see a slender fraction of the day side as its illuminated hemisphere (day side) faces mostly away from us. It is used as the astrological symbol for the Moon, and is the alchemical symbol for Silver.
The word Mandala comes from Sanskrit, meaning 'circle'. While it often contains squares and even triangles, it still has a concentric (circular) structure. Mandalas symbolise unity and harmony through the balancing of their visual elements. Weight: 2.2g
