Merchant & Mills Factotum Bag Sewing Pattern

A neat cross body bag, small but copious. Factotum has been designed to hold all your daily essentials. Fully lined, with two front pockets and a zipped closure. You can use leather or webbing for your strap.

Finished measurements length 20cm, width 30cm, depth at widest point 12cm.

Skill level; Intermediate

Suggested fabrics – oilskin, dry oilskin, mid-heavy weight cotton canvas or drill, mid weight denim (8-14oz). For the lining a tight weave cotton is ideal - such as barrier lining, light weight dry oilskin (approx 170gsm/5oz), gabardine or quilting cotton.

Fabric Requirements: 0.4m at 140cm wide main fabric, plus 0.3m at 140cm wide lining.

Notions: Leather or webbing strap - 1m; double headed rivets; 2 x metal loops or d-rings (same width or slightly larger than strap width); 1 x 30cm zip
