iCare Bed Stick NZ | Compact Slip-On Bed Grab Rail

A compact slip-on grab rail for the side of an iCare bed. The Bed Stick gives a single, solid handhold for sitting up, turning over and getting in and out of bed — without the size or appearance of a full-length side rail.

WILL IT FIT?

HOW IT WORKS
The Bed Stick slips into the accessory socket on the side of the bed frame. A safety return hook on the upright keeps the hand and arm from sliding off the end of the rail. Because it isn't bolted on, it can be repositioned along the bed or lifted out altogether when it isn't wanted.

SUITABLE FOR
Someone who needs one reliable handhold at the bedside rather than a full barrier — early changes in strength, balance or confidence getting up. Used in homes, aged residential care and rehabilitation settings.

BED STICK OR U-ASSIST RAIL?
The Bed Stick gives a single grip point and is the most discreet option. The U-Assist Side Rail is a similar slim profile but offers several grip heights, which suits someone who needs support part-way through a movement as well as at the start.

SAFE USE
Bed rails should be selected following an assessment — an ill-fitting or unsuitable rail carries an entrapment risk. Check the rail is fully seated in its socket before each use. If you're unsure which rail is right, talk to an occupational therapist or give us a call.
