iCare Full Length Fold-Down Side Rail NZ | Single | Left or Right

A single full-length fold-down side rail for one side of an iCare bed — choose left or right. Four bars run the length of the mattress platform to form a continuous barrier, and the rail folds down toward the foot of the bed when a carer releases it.

WILL IT FIT?
✔ Fits iCare homecare beds only — it fits onto the bed frame, so it will not fit an ordinary divan or slat bed

HOW IT WORKS
The rail fits along one side of the mattress platform. To lower it, the carer operates the release and the rail folds toward the foot of the bed, clearing that side for transfers, personal care or hoisting. Raising it back up re-engages the catch.

WHEN A SINGLE RAIL MAKES SENSE
Usually when the bed sits against a wall, so only the open side needs protecting — or when someone consistently transfers from one side and a rail on the other side is all that's required. If the bed is free-standing, the pair is normally the safer choice.

SAFE USE
Full-length bed rails should only be fitted following an assessment. Used with the wrong mattress or an oversized gap they carry a serious entrapment risk. Check before every use that the rail is locked up, that the gap between rail and mattress is minimal, and that the mattress has not shifted.
