iCare High Side Rail NZ | Four-Bar Bed Safety Rail with Elevated Grips
The taller of the two compact iCare side rails. A four-bar design puts handholds at raised heights, so there is something to grip when pulling up from lying to sitting — and a taller edge along the side of the bed.
WILL IT FIT?
✔ Fits iCare homecare beds only — it slips onto the bed frame, so it will not fit an ordinary divan or slat bed
✔ Slides on and off without tools
✔ Can be positioned anywhere along either side of the bed
✔ Charcoal finish to match iCare bed frames
✔ Not sure it suits your bed? Send us a photo of the frame and we'll check before you order
HOW IT WORKS
The rail slips into the accessory socket on the side of the bed frame. Four horizontal bars give grip points from mattress level upward, which suits someone who needs to pull themselves higher rather than just steady themselves at the edge.
HIGH OR LOW SIDE RAIL?
The High Side Rail gives elevated handholds and a taller edge. The Low Side Rail sits closer to mattress height, feels less enclosing and is easier for a carer to reach over during personal care.
SUITABLE FOR
Someone who moves about in bed, needs to pull up to sitting, or would benefit from a taller bedside edge. Used in homes, aged residential care and rehabilitation settings.

SAFE USE
Bed rails should be selected following an assessment — an ill-fitting or unsuitable rail carries an entrapment risk. Check the rail is fully seated in its socket before each use, and check that the gap between rail and mattress stays small.
