How to Bleed a Hope 4 pot rear brake
Most Rear Calipers sit on the frame with front Bleed nipple down lower than the rear.
- Remove rear wheel, pump brake until pads touch.
- Invert the caliper upwards, same position as the front (gentle tap)
- then push the bottom pistons back 1st,
- then push the top pistons back
any air it now in the line.
If you are pushing fluid up to the Master Cylinder with a syringe,
As the reservoir near fills to the top, flick the lever a couples of times to remove air bubbles from behind main seal.
Suggestions
- If you are using a syringe, Be sure to tap out all the small air bubbles 1st
- BPC must be screwed out
- When refitted bladder/cover, narrow end last with no air in the system.
- Ensure all 4 pistons are home when sealing Master Cylinder cover.
