Chiyogami refers to origami paper crafted from washi, a traditional Japanese paper. This patterned paper, known as “Chiyogami," is specifically designed for folding and various handcrafts. In contrast, Western papers featuring Japanese designs are typically labeled as “Origami."

Unryu washi, often called "cloud dragon paper," is a traditional Japanese paper distinguished by its flowing, cloud-like kozo (mulberry) fibres woven throughout the sheet. This unique fibre arrangement produces a visually captivating texture, making it highly favoured for artistic and decorative uses.
