Lake Tarawera - Spring Evening

Lake Tarawera is the largest lake surrounding Mount Tarawera, near to Rotorua. We visited this lake late one spring evening, with the hope of photographing it at sunset. As we approached we could see the lake looking beautiful and still, perfect for a sunset photograph. Timing, however, wasn't on our side as two small boats appeared, complete with fishermen and dogs. Patience paid off though, as we waited for them to leave, the sky putting on a beautiful colour.
