Tom Burnett (1958 –)

Tom Burnett was born in London in 1958 while his New Zealand born artist parents were on their OE. The family returned to New Zealand while he was still a child. His parents encouraged his drawing and painting and at 18 he held his first exhibition in Auckland. Burnett has travelled extensively in the pacific and his work has been strongly influenced by Polynesian culture.
