A Single Tulip

Steve Harris was born in 1953 in Dunedin, New Zealand. He moved with his wife and children to Australia in 1991 and now lives in Jervis Park, NSW. He still exhibits in New Zealand regularly. Harris is a self-taught photorealist painter working largely with acrylics on canvas. Everyday objects, fruit, containers, kitchen utensils appear repeatedly in his work. He also has a long history with painting landscape work and an obsession with dinghys in water. More recently animals and motorcars have appeared. All subjects are treated with an amazing attention to detail.
