MASTERMIND
- a small, bright toki pendant
Hand-carved from local New Zealand Flower Jade, this little toki is the perfect pendant if you would like something small and exquisite. A piece of traditional jewellery suspended from a 4-plait brown cord - adjustable with slip knots.
Crafted with care by New Zealand artist and carver Ric Moor - although small, it will certainly make a statement.
The toki, or adze, is a symbol of strength. The adze was a key survival tool, so the owner of a good one was believed to be strong and powerful. They were used to carve ocean-going waka (sea canoes) and to build central meeting houses so they played a central role in traditional life of māori.
The toki is traditionally worn for strength and courage - to assist through life's challenges.
will be delivered packaged in a woven kete pouch.
