TAONGA TUKU IHO
- Heritage, a large koru carved from New Zealand Marsden jade, also called greenstone.
This particular stone is called Marsden after the region the jade comes from. It is prized by carvers for its consistency and quality - they like to work with this stone because it allows a lot of freedom to create and carve. It is a stunning piece of stone with a beautiful variation in colour.
is a lifetime piece, a pendant that we would like to think will be worn daily and remain in a family as a legacy piece. A spectacular piece of carved art!
Take a look at the video - it is a very brief clip that shows the pendant slowly rotating. This gives a very clear picture of the jade and the carving's shape and form.
Worn either side it looks fantastic!
