Rewarewa is one of New Zealand's most distinctive looking native trees. A tall upright forest tree with a trunk that grows out to 1m in diameter. It is a broadleaf forest tree with finely textured bark and dense red flower clusters from October to November. A n attractive tree distinguished from a distance by its ascending branches. Produces nice timber.
