What is the difference between the CONTROL Spray and the CONTROL Cream?

The spray contains metallic silver and is intended for wounds that are uninfected or at risk of infection. The cream contains silver sulfadiazine and is indicated for wounds that are already infected. The spray also applies without touching the wound, which suits painful or awkwardly placed wounds.

Why a powder rather than a cream?

The kaolin and silica matrix absorbs exudate while holding the hyaluronic acid and silver against the wound. It suits wounds that are producing fluid, and it can be applied without spreading anything across a sensitive surface.

Can it be used on burns?

It is indicated for local first and second degree burns. Larger or deeper burns need clinical assessment rather than self-treatment.

Can it be used under a dressing?

Yes. Apply the powder first, then cover with a secondary dressing if one is required.
