DESIGNER INFORMATION: Carla Zampatti was a migrant from northern Italy arriving in Fremantle, Australia in 1950s with her family. Opening her first boutique in early 1970, her designs have offered inter-generational relevance and women purchasing her designs knew it was an investment. Named Business Woman of the Year in 1980 her designs are highly collectable and retain their value as coveted pieces of the Australian fashion scene.
