1970s Puritan Grey Shirtdress with Fuchsia Ribbon Print

This Puritan shirtdress is cut from soft grey easy care fabric with an almost hand drawn look fuchsia ribbon print winding loose across the fabric. The bodice gathers at the shoulders into a blouson shape and cinches at the waist with a matching self tie belt, while the skirt below falls into fine, crisp pleats. A sharp point collar and pearlised buttons run the full length of the placket.
It dates from the era of the fluid silhouette, built to move easily from office to evening without a change of clothes. Belt it at the natural waist and let the pleats carry the movement on their own.
