1970s Colourblock Wool Knit Shawl Collar Cardigan

This cardigan is knitted in a rich colourblock of black and warm brown with a wide rib collar and front bands in black that fall open with no fastening. Above the elbow, each sleeve carries a paisley style jacquard panel in cream and brown, a decorative counterpoint to the plain knit through the body. Three-quarter sleeves finish with a narrow cream stripe at the cuff, echoed again at the hem. The body falls straight through, giving an easy drape front to back.
