1970s kt. International Fair Isle Style Knit Maxi Dress

This knit dress is worked in a deep black wool blend, with a wide scoop neckline picked out in a red and blue chevron border that runs into a striped yoke of green, mustard, blue and red. The three-quarter sleeves flare gently at the cuff, each banded in the same fair isle style pattern of stacked diamonds and stripes that repeats again at the hem. The body falls in a long, A-line column from the yoke down, with only the colourwork breaking up the block of black through the sleeves and hem.
