Black and Green Wool Blend Graphic 1970s Knit Dress

Black and green is such a sharp vintage combination, and here the green has been used almost like drawn lines across the dress. A double band circles the neckline and cuffs, then the pattern shifts below the waist into strong horizontal stripes crossed with finer diagonal lines. The result is graphic without being busy.

The long sleeves and neat round neckline give the upper half a beautifully clean line, while the dress falls into a gently shaped knee-length silhouette through the waist and hips. A centre-back zip keeps the front completely uninterrupted, which really suits the simplicity of the design.
