2023, Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret, GEVREY-CHAMBERTIN, Village

Gevrey-Chambertin wines are deep in colour with fine expressive, lightly earthy, aromas - robust and firm when young, but age beautifully. Mongeard's plot has an average vine age of 40 years, all hand sorted, with only 30-40% new oak.

Deep ruby. Reductive nose, a little bit of spice. Juicy, fluid, savoury and mineral. Spicy oak showing on the end.
