2023, Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret, NUITS-SAINT-GEORGES, 'Les Plateaux'

Village level - but all from the Plateaux vineyard that sits on the same mid-slope (just north) as 1ers crus Les Pruliers and Les Procès.

Opposite the wineries of Gouges and Boisset. Hmm - high toned - lots of oak again today but also there's a very lovely clarity of fine red fruit - that's a great aromatic invitation. Ultra-silky again - only as you head from the middle flavours into the finish do you find a small but ripe grain of tannin - textural but not drying - then a little juicy burst of finishing flavour.
