2023, Domaine Pernot Belicard, MEURSAULT-PERRIÈRES, 1er Cru, 'Les Perrières Dessous'
In the domaine since 1955 – 0.53 ha. 50 year old vines. On the border, next to P-M Champs Canet. 35% new oak.
A nicely vibrant nose of mineral depth – a fine invitation. Large and fresh – ooh there’s energy here – complexity attached to that too. Mouth-watering too – I simply love that – bravo!
Bill Nanson, Burgundy Report.
Philippe thinks that the SO4 rootstock gives the richer mango style of the nose. This comes from a well-placed plot in lower Perrières near to the border with Puligny. There is an amplitude of fruit and a creamy texture, with some valuable mineral aspects right at the back. Good weight and length. Drink from 2027-2034.

Pale green gold. A bit reductive today. Smokey nose with nectarine. Rich, pears, mango, a little exotic and mineral. Very creamy, concentrated and long.
