2023, Maison Benjamin Leroux, SAINT-ROMAIN, 'Sous le Château'

A little green tint to the colour, with an appetising stony feel to the fresh apple fruit on the nose. Quite intense, with fresh plum as well as the apples, a little more substance at the back of the palate than the Auxey. Drink from 2027 - 2030. The 2023 Saint Romain Sous Le Chteau has a pithier, stonier nose than the Monthélie. The palate is well balanced with good body and depth, although I discern a little more complexity on the Les Duresses at the moment. 85-87 Neal Martin.
