Native, South Island. A smaller version of V. x bidwillii. A clump - mat forming heap of little stems and pretty small green leaves. Tall flower spikes adorn it from late spring and summer. Gritty, sandy, or stony mediums mimic its natural riverbed conditions best. Not standing water though. Hardy. Coll. Acheron Gorge.
