2010 Pisa Range Estate Pinot Gris

The grapes are grown just a few metres from Pisa Range Estate by our neighbours –Thompson Vineyard located at Pisa 10km north of Cromwell Central Otago. This is a ‘single vineyard’.

The 2010 season was excellent, with settled weather during flower set. A long warm autumn ensured the fruit was brought into the winery in excellent condition. The grapes were hand harvested on 15th of April 2010 - whole bunch pressed, and underwent stainless steel ferment. The wine was aged on lees for 6 months - fermented dry – 4gr/l residual sugar.

Colour: Apple green

Bouquet: Pear, floral notes

Palate: Citris, dry, textual, with juicy acids, savoury notes

Cellar: 3 to 5 years

Alcohol: 13.5%

Food Pairings:

Perfect match with fish, seafood and spicy Asian styled dishes. Also a great match with goats cheese.
