Ficus cyathstipula - African Fig - 10L / 25cm / Large
This Ficus cyathstipula, commonly known as African Fig, is an easy-care indoor tree. It enjoys bright indirect light and its dark green glossy leaves can be pruned to shape. This large 10L/25cm plant is sure to make a stylish statement in any home.
Light Requirements: Bright Indirect Light - partial full sun.
Moisture & Soil Requirements: Prefers evenly moist soil with good drainage in warm seasons - never soggy soil. Relatively thirsty but adaptable for most conditions
Growth & Nutrients: Tree / shrub in shape. Suits medium-larger apartments or homes and large gardens away from water pipes due to their aggressive root system. Very easy to shape and prune, common topiary and bonsai species. Feed with a general-purpose fertiliser for containers from the start of spring each year to autumn when growth slows down.
Temperature, Humidity & Ambient requirements: Prefers warm, humid environments inside and adaptable for nearly any situation. Grows well outdoors in frost-free Northern NZ.
Toxicity: Toxic to pets and people. Don't let anyone or anything eat this. Avoid skin contact with sticky white sap when pruning.
