Zamioculcas zamiifolia - 'Black Knight' ZZ Plant - 8.5L / 25cm / Large

Easy as A, B. ZZ. One of the few indoor plants that thrive in medium light conditions and still grows in the darkest of corners. The only things that Zamioculcas do not like are the cold and too much light. This is one plant that should be in every home in New Zealand to fill that gap where no other plant can thrive or survive.

Ideal for Beginner plant keepers or beyond. Ideal first plant.

Light Requirements: Medium Light is ideal, though tolerant of quite low light levels.

Moisture & Soil Requirements: Semi-succulent. Water when the top half of the soil is dry, use a moisture metre and water when it says 'Dry' or use the weight test to pick up your ZZ plant to feel when your soil is dry and lightweight. Prefers to be kept drier through winter and can even survive going dry. Most plants in homes can thrive from light fortnightly summer watering and monthly winter watering.

Growth & Nutrients: Grows as upright shoots from spreading rhizomes underground. Suits apartments or homes of any size. Feed with a dilute general-purpose fertiliser for containers from the start of spring each year to late summer when growth slows down.

Temperature, Humidity & Ambient requirements: Prefers warm humid environments inside but can deal with most home environments and a range of humidity levels.

Toxicity: Moderately toxic. Don't let anyone or anything eat it.
