Watermelon Peperomia - Peperomia argyreia - 1L / 14cm / Small

Tiny leaves that look like a watermelon, yes please. Watermelon peperomia are an attractive small houseplant best for a position on a table in medium-bright indirect light.

Shipping notice: These plants have both heavy and delicate leaves and are somewhat dramatic when thirsty so expect some large leaves to break off in transit and give your plant a thorough watering so it may recover and watch as it springs quickly back to its best. You can put any leaves in a glass of water to re-sprout in summer.

Light Requirements: Bright-medium Indirect Light is ideal.

Moisture & Soil Requirements: Clumping semi-succulent. Stores water in leaves and stems so prefers light waterings, evenly moist soil with good drainage in warm seasons. Water when the container feels light or even when the top half of the soil is dry. Prefers small containers to large ones and likes to be kept a little drier through winter and can even survive going dry in winter.

Growth & Nutrients: Epiphytic (grows on other plants) in nature so has a small root system, consistent soil moisture and grow to a small size. Feed with a general-purpose fertiliser for containers from the start of spring each year to autumn when growth slows down.

Temperature, Humidity & Ambient requirements: Prefers warm environments inside and adaptable for nearly any situation, tolerates a range of humidity levels.

Toxicity: Non-toxic to pets and people.
