3 Dark Horses Shiraz 2022

Made in small volumes by the ex-Coriole winemaker Matt Broomhead, who returned home from Italy and France to start this label with his dad Alan and his grandad Frank. Delicious fruit from vines aged 20-50 years is basket pressed and aged 12 months in French and American oak, making this a big, bold and inky old-school Shiraz. Halliday rates this winery 5 Stars and says “‘I’m very confident that Matt Broomhead’s venture is destined for greater things in the coming years, as its newly acquired vineyard and onsite winery come on-stream.
