Māori song and dance is a major method of imparting knowledge, of preserving the customs, of recording the moment. It is magical in the variety of its concepts and idioms. This book describes their origins and gives detailed instructions on how to perform Māori string and hand games, haka and action songs, poi dances, stick games and games with toys. Keep fit exercises for the do-it-yourselfers who want to experience traditional dances.
