We did experience some acceleration but no separation. The mixture came to a light trace quickly, and with just a few additional pulses of the stick blender we had a medium-thick trace. The batter initially poured into the mold easily, but then started to clump as the last little bit was poured. Tamping the mold after pouring did smooth out the top. We did experience a wide variety of color changes throughout the process. When adding the lye water to the fragranced oils, the oils turned grey. As we began stick blending, the mixture turned a light yellowish-brown color. After 24 hours, the outer edges of the soap were a dark mustard yellow shade while the inside remained a light lemon yellow shade. The scent was super strong! After 30 days the scent had faded slightly, but was still pleasantly strong. The final color of the bar is dark brown. The discoloration and acceleration will limit the design options, but the final scent would be well worth a simple design. The CandleScience Clean Scents™ Range
