Achillea filipendulina | Coronation Gold | Award of Garden Merit
This lovely bright yellow, perennial Achillea grows to 1.5 metres tall and 50 cm wide, making it a great visual addition to the garden. The ferny like leaves are silver greyish in colour. An absolute bird, butterfly and bee magnet, it provides a rich source of nectar to all garden visitors. Named for Queen Elizabeth 2nd's coronation, and quite rightly awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit. A royal keeper.
It loves a sunny position in the middle of the border but can tolerate dappled shade. It's not too fussy about what kind of soil it goes into but don't allow it to become waterlogged, as its prone to rot.
