Achillea millefolium | Butterscotch
Achillea, also known as Yarrow is very drought tolerant once established, so are an excellent choice of plant for what is now becoming a very different growing environment with hotter drier temperatures.
Achillea flowers freely all summer producing flat corymbs 7-10cm across, and in our mild climate, we have them flowering into early winter. Butterscotch features pretty peachy, butterscotch toned clusters of flowers, that stand on tall erect stems above the ferny foliage. Remove faded flowers regularly to promote more buds. We have every variety and colour of Achillea and just love them both in the garden and for cutting, the flower heads look wonderful both fresh or dried. Clumps are easily divided in early spring or autumn. A great flower for attracting butterflies and bees to your garden.
