Armeria maritima | Deep Rose

Armeria maritima Sea thrift, or Sea Pinks, this one is called Deep Rose. A lovely little filler perennial for the front of borders, although I've grown them in between pavers, and they look great! They grow 20cm tall and wide and do really well in almost any soil. As the name suggests, they do great in coastal gardens too, in fact I have memories of them growing all over the coastal walls and banks of Europe. So, so pretty. Deep rose coloured, lollipop shaped blooms flower on strong stems above the equally strong, short grassy foliage in summer. Prefers a fully sunny spot and is evergreen. It's easy to grow and makes a good rockery plant. Its blooms are attractive to bees and make a pretty cut flower.
Deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering. Pot size: 1 litre
