Geranium phaeum | Mourning Widow

This wonderful cranesbill works great as a filler in the perennial garden with unique dark maroon-purple flowers. The striking foliage has splashes of purple-black on the green leaves making it a stand out plant in the garden. Easy care, you can simply cut back after flowering to encourage new foliage.

Flowers in early spring and is happy in shade or sun and great in either the garden or a pot. Enjoys a moist rich soil, although equally as happy in dry shade, so it is an excellent choice for a woodland garden. Easily divided in spring or early autumn to give you more plants.
