Campanula medium | Cup and Saucer | Canterbury Bells
The Campanula medium, known as Canterbury Bells, or the Cup and Saucer plant, adds charm and elegance to gardens with its bell-shaped blooms. This beautiful flower is also known for its hardiness and medicinal properties, making it a beneficial addition to the garden. With soft colours of pink white and lilac, and delicate looking flowers, which have a frill around the base of the bell, giving it its cup and saucer name. It almost always catches attention and creates conversation on garden walks.
Very low maintenance, great for beginner gardeners and for cut flowers too.
Loved by all the pollinators.
Plant in semi shade for best results, making sure there is some moisture at its roots throughout the dry season. They don't like wet feet though. Compost does the trick.
Feed with blood and bone to keep it happy.
Grows to 75 cm high and 40 cm wide.
The picture shows the flower in white, but they are mixed, in pink, purple and white.
