Dianthus caryophyllus | Clove Pink

This carnation has a beautiful mix of pale and mid pinks of silky petals. Sweetly scented of cloves and is a wonderfully old-fashioned plant. Flowers are a mix of single and double blooms. Best grown as an annual in colder climates but do well as perennials in warmer parts on NZ. Easy to take cuttings from though, just put them into water and plant up into soil when roots appear. These beauties bloom all summer long and into the early autumn months. The tall stems have an extremely long vase life make them an ideal cut flower. Flowers are borne in sprays and are great filler for florists. They grow to 65cm tall and 20cm wide and prefer a fully sunny spot to thrive and give the most blooms. Pot size: 1 litre
