Pelargonium | Wendy's Lemon
Named after a dear friend of Addenbrooke by us, the lemon scented geraniums are very fragrant, and very easy to grow. They are happy in full sun and are happy in the garden or a pot. The bright green leaves are both scalloped and slightly crinkled and are quite soft and velvety. They have the most beautiful scent of lemons when crushed. The leaves are great dried and can be used in pot pourri. Flavour teas and cold with the leaves too, very refreshing!
The foliage is also wonderful as cut foliage and lasts well in a vase, filling a room with its fragrance.
The small but showy palest pink coloured flowers streaked with white flowers are borne from late winter to summer peaking in spring, although the plant is really grown for its leaves.
