Apple Fruit Fly Trap | Green

Everyone knows how annoying fruit flies can be. Especially during the summer these flying pests are attracted to fruit in the kitchen or basement. These glass fruit fly traps provide a non toxic solution to fend them off. Place the transparent apple near a fruit bowl and add a mixture of different liquids (water, vinegar and a few drops of dish soap) to the trap. The flies will try to get to mixture through any of the four small holes on the top. Once inside the glass, they cannot escape. This trap should be placed on an even surface.

Instructions:

The fruit flies will go into this non toxic trap through one of the four small openings at the top, but cannot get out and drown in liquid bait. They are attracted by a liquid bait made of 1 part water, 1 part vinegar and 1 or 2 drops of washing up liquid

The washing up liquid will break the surface tension of the liquid bait so the flies can't just sit on top and fly away when they're done.

To fill the trap through the opening in the bottom hold the trap inclined while closing two to three of the small openings with your fingers. Put the cork back into the hole and place the fruit fly trap near your fruit basket.

Keep the fruit fly trap out of reach of children and pets. Change the liquid weekly. Do not clean the fruit fly trap in a dishwasher.
