Boltonia asteroides | Pink Beauty

We adore Boltonia asteroides in the white which you can see here, but this is oh so pretty and the most adorable soft pink with billowing clouds of small golden eyed daisies that appear from late summer and well into late autumn. These plants grow tall stems in a bushy upright mound although some staking will be required to prevent any flopping. An excellent background plant for a sunny border as other plants can help to keep the plants upright. Tolerates summer heat and humidity. If you want to keep them a little more compact you would need to pinch them out around. Plants will cope with full sun and some partial shade. Mulching will help to keep the soil moist which plants will appreciate. Plants are easily divided in spring. Cut back to the ground after flowering and new growth will appear in late spring. Super easy to grow.

An excellent cut flower, so the perfect choice for florists growing from home and also for the cut flower garden as well as an amazing plant for the border.

Height to 1.5 - lovely long stems for cutting x approximately 45cm wide, but over time plants will clump up to about 80cm but splitting will help to maintain strong flowering.
