Dichroa versicolor | Blue Sapphire

Also known as the Evergreen Hydrangea, this lush looking shrub is a winner all year round!

Stunning true-blue hydrangea like blooms, large clusters of small flowers from spring to autumn.

Grows to about 3 metres tall and 1.5 metres wide.

Prefers a shady or part shady spot but ours here at Addenbrooke are in full sun and are doing really well.

Excellent as cut flowers, great for pollinators and very hardy.

Disclaimer: If flower blooms pink instead of blue, it is likely due to the soil's pH level. Blue Dichroa thrive in acidic soil, while pink ones prefer alkaline conditions. We recommend using Yates Liquid Aluminium Sulfate to bring up the acidity of the soil, ideal for blue flowering hydrangeas.
